Talk at Our Lady of Lourdes, Cottingham Road

On Saturday December 6th, after 9.30am Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes, Cottingham Road, Patrick Doyle (Lay Dominican) will speak on Pope Leo's first document 'Dilexi Te' on Love for the Poor addressed to all Christians.

In this short but profound letter, Pope Leo reminds us that faith cannot be separated from mercy, and that the true measure of the Church lies in her care for the poor and vulnerable.

Patrick will explore how the document still shapes Catholic social teaching today and what it means for us as disciples in Hull’s modern context.
