Forming Catholics in the Diocese of Middlesbrough into confident, missionary disciples, grounded in sacramental life, growing in faith, and actively living the Gospel in their families, workplaces, and communities.

Renovation work is underway at the Presbytery, led by Fr Phil with parishioner and retired architect Micki Coyle, alongside the Diocesan Building Manager. The project will provide refreshed priest’s quarters and a welcoming meeting space for parishioners, with before-and-after updates to follow.

13 February 2026: “The last few days have been spent in Lourdes with the diocesan committee to prepare for Lourdes 2026 in May. It was a great, if rainy, time. As ever, we prayed for so many intentions, especially those we know who are sick at this time. We lit candles at the grotto to remember them. May the grace of God come into our lives.” Fr Phil

The St Charles SVP had organised a Day of Reflection for the parish at the Thicket Carmelite Priory near York. The event is to be held on Thursday 7th May and will be led by Fr John Farrell O.P. Full details will follow in due course.
