World Focus Index
World Focus is part of a wider mission to look beyond ourselves and engage thoughtfully with the realities of the world we live in. Rooted in prayer and worship, this feature recognises that faith is not an escape from the world’s challenges, but a lens through which they can be understood more clearly.
At a time marked by conflict, injustice, environmental crisis, displacement, and deep social uncertainty, the Church is called not only to pray, but to learn, to explain, and to respond. World Focus brings together reflection, teaching, information, and trusted resources that help connect the Gospel to contemporary life, drawing on the Church’s global perspective and its call to “go out” and witness through both word and action. It seeks to deepen understanding of what God asks of humanity, how faith speaks to moral and social questions, and how individual conscience can be formed in the light of truth, compassion, and responsibility.
This is not about political opinion or passing commentary, but about helping people make sense of the world with integrity, wisdom, and hope. Alongside prayer and worship, World Focus affirms that education, understanding, and engagement are essential expressions of Christian discipleship. By widening our horizon beyond the local and familiar, it encourages us to see ourselves as part of a universal Church, called to glorify God not only in what we believe, but in how we think, act, and live in the world.
